Ah-Ah-Amsterdam 2017, Day 9

Despite being practically in our backyard, we have left the apparently famous Albert Cuyp markt to the very end of our trip.  This is a combo flea-tourist-food market where you can buy any manner of clothing, fish, poffertjes, or sunglasses.  We’re early for breakfast but fortunately we find some herring before we have to say tot ziens to A-dam!

Our trip home is long but uneventful – at least we think so, who knows what the good folks of Icelandic Air were actually saying to us.  We return bearing cheese and stroopwaffels and a great loaf of date-pumpkinseed bread from KT.

Here is what we didn’t do in Holland:  ride bikes along the great flat beaches of the North Sea, see actual windmills in action, go to the Cheese Museum, take a canal cruise, eat enough boeterkoeks or herring, ride bikes enough.  But I might move here, so there will be time to do all of that soon enough.
